No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre is an existential play about three characters arriving in Hell. But this Hell is not the fire and brimstone they had expected. At first glance, it is an ornamentally decorated drawing-room. The catch is that there is “no exit” from this place- or from one another. They soon unravel the mystery of the universe: that Hell is, in fact, other people.
